Hornsea Potteries was founded in 1949 by brothers Colin and Desmond Rawson in North Yorkshire. Hornsea’s rapid growth was generated by widespread popularity and inspirational design. Hornsea developed unique and ground-breaking techniques and designs.

Magpie has started re-manufacturing some of their greatest designs, starting with the illustration works of John Clappison. As avid mid-century fans, Magpie feels that the legacy of Hornsea shouldn’t be forgotten and should be loved by future generations too.
